Community Engagement
Community engagement is at the heart of Change of Vision's mission, bringing together individuals, organizations, and institutions to support the transformation of incarcerated individuals. By fostering collaboration with police officers, politicians, educators, and volunteers, we create a network of support that drives positive change.
The goal of community engagement is to raise awareness about the importance of reducing recidivism and to encourage active participation in initiatives that empower inmates. Through partnerships and outreach efforts, we build a strong foundation for long-lasting impact.
Key Components of Community Engagement Include:
Collaborative Partnerships: Working with law enforcement, policymakers, and community leaders to align efforts toward a shared mission.
Volunteer Opportunities: Engaging individuals in activities such as book drives, library setups, and mentoring programs.
Public Awareness: Running campaigns to educate the public about the benefits of supporting inmate rehabilitation.
Event Organization: Hosting fundraisers, workshops, and seminars to promote the mission and gather support.
Feedback and Growth: Actively seeking input from the community to refine and enhance our initiatives.
By uniting the community, Change of Vision empowers individuals and organizations to play an active role in transforming lives and building a more inclusive and empathetic society.
